So often we hear comments like, “How can I motivate her?” or “I don’t know what to do to motivate him.”
And yet it’s really quite clear that our motivation rarely comes from someone else’s efforts. Lasting motivation comes from within. We recognize that, of course, but sometimes we just want to help it along – or someone wants to help it along for us!
In this session, we’ll discuss what it means to be motivated – intrinsically, which is much more lasting – and extrinsically, which can become a vicious cycle.
We’ll have a chance to reflect on what motivates each of us and how we can sustain – or regain – that internal motivation.
