Webinar Series: Marketing New ILS and Discovery Tool to Students and Faculty at Gulf Coast State College

With the statewide migration to the Sierra/Encore Duet integrated library system and discovery interface, Gulf Coast State College library staff realized that the implementation would significantly impact their faculty and students. The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive plan for introducing the new ILS and discovery tool to students and faculty at Gulf Coast State College.

In this three-part webinar series, Kathy Dempsey will guide library staff at Gulf Coast State College through the process of creating a marketing plan to introduce the new ILS and discovery tool to students and faculty. Other libraries are welcome to listen in and follow along with this project.

Kathy will evaluate data for Gulf Coast State College, and the webinars will include an explanation of what data were important and how she came to her conclusions. Other librarians are welcome to follow along at whatever level they choose:

  • Simply listen to the webinars to gain an understanding of the process
  • Gather the same data on your own school in order to use the lessons presented in the webinars to create your own branding, messages, media, and assessments plans

She’s an active member of the New Jersey Library Association, and Chair of the Library Marketing and Communications Conference.
