“Just Google it.” How many times has someone fielded a response to a question that they don’t know the answer to? As information professionals, we want to point our users toward the best information that we can but, let’s face it, we often “just Google it” ourselves. This workshop will provide strategies and advice for using Google search interfaces to find scholarly information, research datasets, government information, and much more. Other topics include advanced queries, searching by copyright status, and using Google Trends.
Presented by Kelly Grove (STEM Research and Learning Librarian) and Renaine Julian (Associate Director for STEM Libraries), both from Florida State University Libraries.
