@ Your Library Workshop: Diversity and Inclusion in Academic Libraries

Graphic of earth with people holding hands around itThis training will present case studies of diversity and inclusion initiatives in academic libraries, and areas of library services affected by diversity. By examining trends in academic libraries, this training will foster discussion amongst library employees regarding the diversity and inclusion initiatives at academic libraries.

FSU is hosting this training as part of the goal for their Diversity Committee to create and maintain an inclusive environment in which all individuals are treated fairly, respectfully, and valued for their distinctive skills, experiences, and perspectives.

The workshop will be presented by Mark Puente, Director of Diversity and Leadership Programs at the Association for Research Libraries.

Please note: Workshop is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT (9 a.m. to 12 noon ET).

For FY2021-22, 70% of the total costs for the PLAN Continuing Education program ($220,000) is supported by federal money, and 30% of this program ($92,991) is supported by state money. The total budget of the project is $312,991.
